Geez, what is with the dogpiling on people who hate on CA? As a born and raised CA native, I certainly find valid points on some of the OP's reasons for thinking this state stinks. Some of his other reasons are generalizations, but they are things that stick out to him enough to make him sick and tired of the problems out here, so why are we jumping on him? It's like using narrow-mindedness to battle narrow-mindedness.

-San francisco sucks, their are only a few ways to get into the city.. Marin county, bay bridge, or driving up the peninsula. And theirs always traffic.
-Its SUNNY all the time. I like sunny days, but It does get quite annoying when it doesn't rain at all. And when it rains everyone goes crazy like "holy ****, its rain, where gonna die!"

-Illegal Immigrants everywhere.

Seriously, I would rather be in death valley then be in SF. Its ****. If the US goes down, california is going down first. Back to the East Coast.
San Francisco is sunny all the time??
You seem to have missed BART, CALTRAIN ?
Have you actually lived there?
What do you mean it does not rain-the bay area gets tons of rain. One of the rainiest places on the west coast is in the north bay region. There can be days and days of non stop drizzle. Nobody in the bay areas get all affected by the rain-socal yes-but no way in the bay area.

But seriously, sunny and San Francisco-did you just google about CA and post?

Oh, I know. Again, I am born and raised. I fully get the snobbery held by Californians about the state and what ends up being validations of rudeness by people who give flippant comments. It's not just on here, it's everywhere.

It's one of the reasons I hate living out here-certainly not the biggest. People tend to be too concerned with thinking they live in the "best unkept secret" to realize what's really going on around here.

And BTW...I love dogs.

Not really. If one were to criticize something, one would expect to at least know what you are ranting about . Talk about high unemployment, high housing/rental values and cost of living and other issues-sure. Nowadays the salaries in CA and a lot of other areas are quite close and yet the cost of living and housing is simply insane. But go on rants about issues that do not match the area you are criticizing about-people are going to laugh you off.

Oh and I have had dog meat once on a visit to China(but never again.)

"Out here?" CA natives don't refer to their home state as "out here."

Isn't the east coast crowded and overpriced, with ignorant and rude people and bad traffic.

Are all the immigrants on the east coast legal?

If you get bored with the weather, just go up a mountain, on the other side of the hills, further north, and further south.

California is not meant to be enjoyed staying in one spot. But its not for everyone.

Maybe you just had high expectations.
