This is where termed-out legislators go to stay on the public dole as well as their favorites and those of legislators still polluting your Legislature. This used to infuriate me when the "good old boy" appointments were made. What a waste of resources.

A hidden tragedy in this is it seems all politicians do these days is trade votes for future appointments. We don't have anyone representing us, they only represent themselves.

You can't say that anymore. You should be sued for slander because of the negative stigma associated with that name.

Just to educate you. They are dried plums. And yes. They are critical to the economy. To suggest tampering with that product and you are a baby seal clubbing, kitten hating, evil troglodyte who must be detained and held for re-education.
