?
Makes no sense.. Tea Party is a prominent reason the GOP is in decline.. A major rift in the party that is difficult to be contained.. Especially in California where many GOP are/were "moderate". The whats her name from Alaska was down right spooky for moderates from either side of the isle..

Also, Fiscal and Social Conservatives are two very different things.. IMO the Social conservatives have hijacked the party and left the Fiscal Conservatives out to hang in the wind.

Happy to discuss theories with a social Conservative any time.. It's those social Conservative ones that are aliens to most of us tagged "liberal"... It is just hard to not make demeaning comments about them..

As Fontucky said, the day "Religious morals" became a political campaign point, was the day many a fiscal conservatives were alienated.

IMO their should be more than a two party system, like most other democracy's have.... The tension between us citizens is doing none of us any good..

I guess we need to remember, if these people do not see things your way they are not intelligent: is that what you are saying?

Back in the real world the GOP here doesnt offer much to older citizens. Mitt Romney wants to end Medicare if favor of some sort of low-value voucher. The GOP has pledged to end the Affordable Health Care Act.
Ive paid into the SS/Medicare system since 1970. Now its time for the insurance to work for me and my spouse.
Its not welfare, its a premium we've paid into for over forty years.
The GOP offers change, but no hope for middle-class Americans in CA.
If they could be reasonable people again, instead of Tea Party zealots and tax-free millionaires, they might get more votes around these parts.

California has become permanently Democratic for the high population areas of the state. It will never go back to being Republican.

Reason: California is now about 41% White European Ancestry and declining, down from 76% white in 1980. And this trend is accelerating. This trend is making the state more Democratic than Republican.

California to be able to get the Democratic vote, have driven the cost of government high, taxes high, and with a high cost of living are driving a lot of business and industry from the state. This drives away a lot of higher income jobs, taking the higher paid workers from the state, which takes a lot of the white population and Republicans from the state. A trend that is accelerating increasing the vote for Democrats.

Democratic party now panders to the non white population groups, black, Hispanic, etc., etc., making them promises. The high population areas of the state, are the places in the state that vote Democratic. The lower population areas of the state vote Republican.

California has serious problems, and is going to be in a lot more trouble in the future.

Another company just moved its manufacturing to OHIO, leaving Corp offices here and that is it. Minimal employees here. They do business Nation wide and actually have a LOT of CA customers.
