Just put some Suzie-Q on it. That makes everything taste good.

I've never had it, but thanks for the tip (wait... lol)! I LOVE trying new foods! One of my biggest joys in life. I can't wait to try this. I don't even know where to find cactus (out here - I imagine CA will be a lot easier) but I think we have a recipe winner!

It's kind of like an onion ring but with a different flavor. Really good! As Nully stated, make sure you debone the cacti first

Ahaha I don't get it. I've never cut into a cactus before, but is there really something in there you need to take out? I think you guys are pulling my leg. My recipes tell me so. Darn it, now I'm hungry. lol

Ha, no you just have to get rid of the spines on the outside. Usually they sell it already cleaned and all you have to do is bread and fry it. YUM

Go to a mexican food store, buy nopal, it is ready for cooking and eating. We put it in pork stew.

Thanks for the tips, guys! I know they don't have this at my local farmers' market, my Whole Foods, or my Trader Joe's, but a Mexican Food Store, I never thought of that! I am literally excited beyond belief to try this. New foods are like Christmas to me, since there are so few non-meat items I haven't already cooked 20 ways from the sun. Thank you!
