Monetary dilution driving the prices of commodities and housing up?

Who woulda thunk...

D.C. Motto: Money for nuthin', chicks for free!

P.S. Wage/salary increases are always a lagging indicator, and given wage arbitration form Asia et al., likely a poison pill for the avg. unskilled "employee"...

Lets see, I believe the gas prices when Obama took office were about $1.75 or so, though CA may have been about $0.40 higher. What are they now?

Since when does a company that auctions its product set prices?

Excuse me, but I specifically recall gas hitting 5$ a gallon back when I lived in Pleasanton when Bush was president. I remember it so well because I'd chuckle when I'd see the Hummer owners filling up their gas tanks near my house thinking how stupid they must feel owning something so ridiculous and costly to maintain. The president has absolutely no control over the price of gas..or anything else for that matter, btw...

Gee Diane, figure your kowtowing to the Israel lobby might have something to do with this?

The sad part is Californians continue to run the hot poker up their bums by electing people like Feinstein. I’m sure if the price increases were the result of more taxes Californians would be sleeping well at night, but since we’re dealing with evil oil companies this requires a little more grandstanding on behalf of the lowest common denominator

Info provided by Fueling California

California has enacted one of the nation’s highest combined (federal, state, local) gasoline taxes, 28% higher than the national average, with California state gasoline taxes alone are 43 percent higher than the national average of state gasoline taxes.

The effect of a proliferation of different fuel blends serves to fragment the existing infrastructure, complicating the processes of supply, refinement and distribution, and ultimately decreasing capacity and increasing prices for the consumers.

Since 1997 Californians have paid between $0.38 and $0.61 more per gallon of gas than residents of other states once the price of oil and taxes is removed.

I thought liberals loved high fuel prices to force people out of those nasty cars. Why the investigation?

Less than they were under Bush. Bush came in under $1.75 too. What's your point? Gas prices fluctuate.
