I think his avid support for the high speed train, and all of his positive talk about how strong and big the California economy is in support of this project pretty much doomed the tax increase proposal(s). Add in the Parks slush fund to cash out excess earned leave, and it pretty much closes the deal for a lot of folks.

I know he has said it doesn't matter and that these items aren't linked, but I think a sufficient number of voters will disagree.

Yep, and any tax increase is going to effect more than all the people that voted "no".

I am voting NO. They had their chance to make it right and failed. Sacramento needs to learn how to budget just like
you and I and live within our means.

If it means budget cuts, so be it. Just remember when your state rep comes up for re-election. Some of these guys have never worked at a real job.

Not just NO but HELL NO! They already tax us enough in CA.

I will never vote to enable this state to continue on with business as usual.
