The U.N. is sending election observers to some states to see if any groups are intimidated into not voting or if thare is any attempts to do so.

Is there any Ca. law regarding "observers" at or in a polling station/place? I would think this would include the description as "non authorized" person.

Even if the Hells Angels or the KKK or the Black Panthers or the Mexican Mafia or Al Qaeda tried to make an impact by using intimidation, the effect would be so small that it wouldn't affect a national election. And, since the popular vote is irrelevant, even if the scales were tipped, it wouldn't make a difference.

If Romney won CA would you still feel that way?

Wow, I didn't know anything about this at all:

The Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), a United Nations partner on democratization and human rights projects, will deploy 44 observers from its human rights office around the country on Election Day to monitor an array of activities, including potential disputes at polling places. It's part of a broader observation mission that will send out an additional 80 to 90 members of parliament from nearly 30 countries.

Some people still have the wool over their eyes with regards to globalization.

Agenda 21 is childs play BTW.

Hell even I'd be skeptical if Romney won California.

In our community any political party can appoint observers (or "poll watchers") and I believe the law is the same, statewide. Is this really news to anyone?

I see nothing wrong with UN observers at US elections. They are sent to other nations' elections with US encouragement.

Welcoming the UN to the US would show a good example. Americans are global citizens, too.
