Phil's bitterness clings to every post like the resin drops cling to ganja colas ready for harvest. He claims to be a cop... I wonder if that bitterness is carried to the job?

re: iran or china, i dont want to live in a socialist wanna-be european peoples republic either. we are not europe, we have different demograhics, history and issues. the victims family should be allowed to put an end to the murderers "hangin out"

and as for as the OP being subjected to racial abuse someplace as else as compared to california, anybody who says i recommend they get out more and realise what its really like here.

when i was in the military i went the reddest of redneck events in the south, nascar races, college football, never heard the nbomb.

It's somewhat inherent in that job. Detesting the hoards of sкum you deal with on a daily basis but at the same time understanding that your just as big a part of the same governmental hypoкrisy by sucкing off the same teet breeds that type of bitterness and hostility.

Been there.

I have a former cop cousin who got fired for beating one of them up in a SB County jail back in the 60s. He just lost it one day. Was probably a good thing as he became a much nicer person after leaving that line of work.

A level of detachment and compartmentalization is required to do that job effectively and not lose it.

Well, the people of KALIFORNIA with a communist K, have spoken. WE, that includes this black man, who is a conservative, want the death penalty.

This walking, breathing, waste of oxygen should be dead already. However, you COMMUNIST liberals wont let it happen.

What else do you want too know?
Sorry your guy lost. Sorry the liberal communists voted for Prop 30 AND voted down Prop 34. Funny how democracy works. Sorry the rest of us without an agenda can spell "California" right. Speaking of walking/breathing, I hear a bit of fresh air and exercise does a person good - helps them calm down and such.

I will say this, you've got talent. I've never seen a black man pull off an impersonation of a "angry middle-aged white man" so well.

It depends. If using prison labor would significantly reduce costs I would be willing to accept the risk that one orange in a million was urinated on. The costs I am writing about are wage costs from existing workers - many of whom are illegal aliens - and costs to support illegal aliens' social programs and education.

Also, from a psychological perspective, good clean hard work might rehabilitate these guys more than rotting in a prison would. Provide them with incentives like earlier release or earning money for candy, smokes, internet privileges, etc.

I don't have all the answers and I haven't crunched the numbers and I realize unions and ACLU are very powerful.

I agree that putting them to work is a good idea, which is why California does put them to work. As for costs, Far more expensive to use prison labor than hired labor.

But, this

Why do people think that some how illegal ag workers don't pay the same taxes as everyone else? They pay for social programs and education, just like you do, as they pay the same taxes you do.

Can we all get clear on this?

Yeah, their employers aren't illegal. I'm sure they withhold payroll and income taxes just like yours and mine do.
