I recently stayed at the Air B & B that this therapist was trying to acquire that business license for. What he told me, and isn't mentioned is that in the town hall meeting to discuss this, there was one of the biggest turnouts ever and 99% of those there went to say, "give him the license". Both sides were able to have their say. I went and meant and talked to people, the schools for a very small town seem excellent. I think open-minded, live-and-let-live prevailed. I want to live in Ferndale and trying to make that happen as we speak.

Hobart Brown. who was pretty much singlehandedly responsible for any reputation Ferndale has in the arts, just passed away, so it's a town in transition. Pretty, though. Good luck!
Are you kidding, many artists, and Joe "The Blacksmith" is a metal arts icon.

The question is, what type of job are you looking for?

CRIME STATS; FERNDALE 48% below national average, while the larger town Eureka is 54% higher than national average.

Is Humboldt growing in population? With some retirees seeking it out, as well as a few young people, I have the impression it's slowly growing. Some parts more than others: McKinleyville has been said to have enjoyed a bit of a boom the last few years.

I found the answer to my own question. It's grown by 68% since 1970, according to one graph.
