As for comparing and this goes for the OP as well, you can not compare, without considering price. Of course there are bigger and better burgers lots of places, but none are under $2.00. That is what makes In&Out so special, fresh ingredients, including cutting their own fries daily and the ability to keep the price down. A fair comparison is In&Out versus, Micky Ds, Wendys, Burger King, Jack in the Box, Carl jrs, etc. Not places like 5 guys and Habit that start at twice what In&Out charge.

Everytime someone starts a thread comparing In&Out with other burgers, they always use an example of more expensive ones. This is like comparing homes in Brentwood with Torrance.

Well I guess I found something we don't agree on and it might be the first: I put In&out way ahead of Carl Jrs, Wendys would be a close second to In&Out and I love Burger King, but not as much as I&O. Like you, chains like Fatburger are way above the price I will pay for a burger..I have to admit I have never tried 5 guys but have heard good things about them. Of course they are pricier as well.

there was a time when I loved Fuddruckers but the last few times we have been there (a few years ago) not only had they gone down in quality but up in price. Again, no way to compare them with In&Out, they are a totally different type of establishment.

I always liked the taste of the burger at 'Weinerschneitzel'. I also liked the 'Polish Dog',, & the 'chili cheese fries'......

I haven't been to a Fuddruckers for about 7 years. I also like Fatburger and there is one about 5 miles away.

We had burgers at our local Dairy Queen that were pretty good and very reasonable. I had a 1/4 pound cheeseburger with lettuce, tomato, etc. The combo meal included the cheeseburger, fries, drink, and a small blizzard all for $5.00.

Nobody knows how to make a burger as good as anybody's backyard BBQ, so why bother?

Habit Burger
They are certainly better than In-n-Out's. So good that I took this picture.
