You don't like the message so divert it!

I am talking about the ranking of the economies in the US compared to the world.

Guess what CA is in the US!
Clearly I was speaking about the total state. The big giant hint was that I said "California", not "San Francisco". /shrug

Sorry Senno...I thought you were talking about SF. My apologies to you.

...you did not say California.

I guess I have SF on the brain!

SF ranks 77th in the world when comparing the largest 300 metropolitan economies worldwide.

So your internet search shows it (California) being 9th and mine shows it (San Francisco) being 77th.

Let's figure out which one is true and which one is a stretch.

Well, Ca is number one -- #1 -- in the U.S. ... And #9 in the world.

There's no diversion here. You simply aren't coherent in your statements.

Small compared to CA though worth about $40 billion

The ag here is very different. You dont see fields of irrigated crops. What you do see is lots and lots of grazing land. I suspect most of that ag industry is in the RGV region of south Texas. Between here and Austin you see a bit of cotton and feed corn.

Edna valley would be close, just chop off all the mountains around it. My point was only, its not flat like the central valley. Its rolling with small hills and mesas.

Thought I did, oh well. In context it's pretty clear I'm talking about the total state. /shrug

I certainly didn't say SF.

It is kinda interesting that San Jose and SF are so close together, almost close enough to be considered one metro area. Wonder what that would do to your rankings?

You do if you fly over it. That's not really here nor there though. /shrug

No matter how much the CA cheerleaders want to bash TX it does amount to a hill of beans since TX is doing just fine.

You really should be more worried about how CA is doing.

TX will NEVER see the days of what CA has become.

They are not my rankings

Anyway I do think the interactive map is pretty interesting from my links. I am happy to see my home town doing so well...but I am not surprised by it since Houston has a very diverse economy.

And TX is the # 2 economy in the US not far behind CA.

This is a pretty cool link http://www.jec.senate.gov/public/ind...ebystatereport

Glad to see CA starting breathe a tad bit of life.
