Pacific Palisades, Rancho Palos Verdes, Newport/Laguna Beach. Those would be my top choices.

You mean what's left of it? Oops, bad joke... sorry. I prefer Pacific Palisades to Malibu because it's closer to LA, yet still really nice. Plus the traffic in and out of LA on PCH/1 toward Malibu really can get nasty.

I also go with Newport or Laguna Beach.. I've only been to SoCal though.. heard/seen some amazing things about Monterey/Carmel
