I miss fishing in the Bridgeport area. Lots of rainbow and brown trout could be caught there once upon a time ago.

He says he has offers all over the place Ruth. I don't know if it's actually true or not.

He didn't mention LA in his posts here. He said Seattle, SF and Hong Kong or Shanghai or someplace over there. Oh well.

There was a fair amount of talk about it in Seattle in the 90's, but I can't find anything about it online. Oh well.

A Poem is Stuck In My Head:

Now sitting down
and writing poems is easy
for me
but every once in a while
something needs said
but I can't seem to get the words
out of my head
various ideas are floating around
so I try em and find em
and run em to ground
now it seems that of those amongst us
many are veterans
so I will thusly acknowledge
that as I tease
poke and prod
I honor your service
both here and abroad
now I am not a veteran tis true
so all I can do is show the
Boy Scout salute
but do know that of all I have said
I believe it best for California, country
and my little homestead

How About That:

Nullgeo just said
How About that in a thread
And where my mind goes
when I hear such a phrase
is right to baseball
Gehrig, Mickey and the Babe
now that Spring is nearly upon us
the Boys of Summer
do start limbering up
I am sad about steroids
oh that is true
but spring brings us hope anew
as the boys take the field
I can hear Mel Allen
calling the game
as Mickey steps to the plate
Hits a home run
and as he rounds third base
It's Mel with the call so grand
for Mickey has just cleared the bases again
so Mel steps up
and delivers his line
How About That!
as the Yankees win!

Doc Goldstein (AKA: My Favorite Post of All Time)

Now up in the SFO forums
there is a poster named Goldstein
who often brings other posters to steam
for if you read his posts
you can discern
he uses words like "uppity" "token" and "cheap"
for this he has earned his meeting
with the Fresno Road Show
as I am free to take it on the go
now I have said around here
and I definitely meant it
that I will say what I want
and deal with the consequences
now Old Doc did tell me
to stay on topic
he also called Fresno a Cow Town
which I freely acknowledge
but as he was teasin
I seemed quite free
to tease back with a little hilarity
I went to ripping off one-lines
free flowing word associations
and other fine things
as I brought the topic back around to Oakland Crime

Bill Maher Said:

Bill Maher said taxes is to high
Bill Maher said he'd rather die
than pay the taxman one more cent (not really true)
until he is upon his death bed
Bill Maher is just a comedian
who the **** cares what he done
upon his show on television
that is beamed into your vision
as you lay in your underwear
picking at your nose and ear hair
If Bill Maher said tomorrow
abandon all hope ye who enter here
would you bend over and take it up rear
or would you continue on as before
doing your best to bring home the big score
I care not what Bill Maher said
although I am sure he is well read
He can flee right to Kentucky
as there he will find alot of horse puckey
that is not unlike a lot that he says
upon his show to make you conservatives red.
