Where would businesses go, anyway? Renewables are being developed nation-wide. And CA has the customer base as well as the talent base for businesses.
True. And as other states populations grow the more they will see the need for stricter emissions controls as CA does. And an expanding area of the law might be treating emissions as hazardous substances much like other chemicals. Some states might not stand idly by as other states allow their emissions to blow across their states. And make that a federal issue. Science already shows a link between smog and birth defects now as I have posted. Not to mention asthma, COPD, pneumonia like symptoms for people with challenged respiratory systems.

When has liberal math ever panned out?

In other news another green company swirls the bowl along with taxpayer money.

Until 1980 or so when Reagan started running up deficits. Then Clinton balanced the budget pretty much, then George W Bush exploded the debt again. The Tesla is a very nice car and is produced here in CA, and hasn't swirled in. It is selling very well.

Does Fargobound have an axe to grind with California? The state isn't perfect, but what state is? The Tesla venture is a great example of local economic development. And they did the right thing by partnering with Toyota.

That's a federal loan that was missed, not even a California loan. Interestingly the company is HQ'd in Delaware. Apparently has a plant in CA . Tesla seems to have beaten them to market with a better product I suppose.https://lpo.energy.gov/?projects=fisker-automotive

I answered your question. Having to dig out of George W with a slow to recover economy now. I will register the complaint about Fisker about the time I register the complaints on DoD spending on projects that don't turn out so well. That has just as much relevance to the CA general forum as the link about Fisker, really.
Can we stay on Tesla please? Excellent car right?

The alternative woulda been a lot worse. I don't know what that has to do with Tesla, anyway.

Hopefully Tesla will continue to improve and grow.

The fact that there are cars (or anything) being made in the old NUMMI plant should make anyone in the Bay Area happy. There are plenty of old factories/towns in the Rust Belt that would do anything for such fortune.
