Take your pick: fishing - or work.

So maybe the reason for California's high unemployment is: people out here are figuring it out finally that fishing beats working all to hell. You know the old saying: force a man to work to buy a fish for a day - or teach a man to fish for himself. That's in the Bible I think. And that's all I have to say about it I guess.

If you had spent time with dying loved ones, you would not suggest that "two years" is nothing. So, yeah, once again, what I think is so.

Furthermore, two years unemployed is a very long time to endure. As is two years in combat service of one's nation. Or two years recovering from wounds sustained (let alone five or ten years or a lifetime).

And you still haven't explained how California's unemployment affects you personally. Which many here would love to hear.

These guys are trying to make a difference in the unemployment rate:

Had a Bay Area job fair recently:

Hope it went well - these folks deserve to get hired. (Got a nephew about to complete his fourth deployment in Afghanistan)

Two Years in Blink of an Eye

Many parents wonder why
Time does seem to fly on by
They hold infant, sweet child
Soon crawling to it's delight
Standing on wobbly legs
walking, talking, running,
Graduating, marriage contemplating
Holding child, wondering why
Grandparents standing by
looking on in shock and surprise
My oh my time has flown by

--- Some random dude on the internet.

Time in a Toke

Crystalline Gaze
Time's slip denied
Zen like focus
Upon fishing line
Flotilla mission
Society in remission
These are the things
of Tulemutt's livin'
As he is on delta
Lighting one up
Just a fishin
Him and his pup

(I hope he takes a dog fishin')

- Still by some random dude on the internet.

Your jealousy shines through of course. haha. Have a great day Fontucky. You bitter old fart.

It's one of my friends favorites, and then we have your opinion. Which shall I take to heart I wonder? Hmm. LoL.

Here's one for you Fontucky. 30 seconds worth of rhyming is what it was worth.

Fontucky

Old Truck driver
Hemorrhoid rider
Can't sit down
Without intestines
sliding
rear trailer is loose
broke down
Big frown
Old clown
No fun
Desert sun
Nothing good to say
about anyone
engine steaming
overheating
911 call completing
Anger management
Truck cab habitat
Tow you away
to the truck yard
No salvage value
Crush up the cab
Recycle is the plan
What can you make
out of junk metal, man?
Rusted, cold busted
Melt it down and make
a tin can
