With so many Registered Sex Offenders living in our neighborhoods and really not knowing where those offenders are living, I believe as an American we need to stand against this atrocity towards our children and give them a sense of peace instead of fear. Children deserve to live there lives free of fear, to live there childhood the way it was meant to be, without pain and suffering. I think that putting up a caution ribbon on the residency of the registered sex offenders house would be a sufficient step to knowing that any house with this caution tape that states that a registered sex offender resides there would enable our children to recognize that that residence is off limits. We can't go this alone we need everybody's help to enable the safety of our children, children do not deserve to be violated in any sexual manner they deserve to live there young lives and a peaceful non fearful way. In order to make this happen we as American's need to stand up against sex offenders and protect what is dear to us our children who look up to us for protection.

Why stop there? Why not make them wear, say, a yellow star or something on their outer clothing so they can be recognized on the street too.

Oh wait! That's already been done.

Thats a chilling comment especially since it actually happened & we all know the deadly outcome. The op has good intentions but the caution ribbon is too much & will never happen.

It was meant to be. Some of those lost were my relatives.

Never say never! Meanwhile, we all can hope, never again.

You need to read:

The Culture of Fear: Why Americans Are Afraid of the Wrong Things: Barry Glassner: Amazon.com: Books

Our fear of everything in American culture is exaggerated by the media, by politicians. We waste unheard of dollars on fears that are exaggerated, while we overlook the basic issues like income inequality and lingering racism, the same old, same old timeless issues.

This is a book EVERY AMERICAN NEEDS TO READ.

Our fears make things worse.

The media makes our neighborhoods seem more dangerous than they really are. Therefore we buy a gun to make ourselves feel safe. Guns lay around, a kid plays with it, or someone mentally ill gets a hold.

Read this book and pass it on.
