Funny that you would mention that. The property that Eric was promoting in Aulturas that were selling for 20K a pop, people are trying to unload it for 2-4K...Went up to look at it and saw two different sets of six pit-bulls as I guess that is a pot haven now.

I'd stay away from the California Pines cesspool.

For sure......Even at 1K an acre the price is too high...The place is the poster child for big, fat scams.....

and it is even getting worse. Even the real estate guys won't meet you at the property, they will just tell you how to get there and to give them a call afterwards....lol

Kind of sounds like a Roach Motel setup for sucker humans. One-way ticket.

"Just bring the cash, and we'll meet you there..."

You got that right...As a matter of fact, we stayed at the "resort" that the poor souls were taken to for the high pressure sales at the time and yes, I felt like I was in a hotel in an old cow town or something.

Wall heater that hardly worked, so they gave "extra" blankets for the cold evening and something they called cable for the TV, I think it had a whooping 3 channels..... Oh and remember Lake Shastina?? It's a pond!!!..No way anyone would ever put any kind of boat in it......Crazy!!!!

Burney... hmm

Go for a ride along with the local deputy... it will give you a great perspective

Burney.. a mix of retirees,,, some poor... and Indians with substance abuse problems...

Beautiful area.. super cold winters,,, lots of snow when Redding has none.. can be very hot in the summer... but still cooler than Redding
Not much to do other than the great outdoors... but if you like that then... great

You'll be coming down to Redding for larger purchases and medical

That is a great idea.....When it comes to heat, I live in Sacramento, so, I am all good there. I am a musician and my wife is into crafts, so, we homebodies for the most part.

Planning on a sun room for her crafts etc......

Thanks for the thoughts, much appreciated!!!!

Does that have anything to do with Justin Bieber? I want to be as far away from him as possible......... But, I grew up in the sixties, so Jimi Hendrix, Fleetwood Mac, Steppenwolf, especially Janis Joplin!!! Loved her....... I am just an old hippie from Dallas, wanting to get back to my roots, where the scenary is beautiful. Tired of looking at this concrete city....Peace Out

Thanks for the info.............
