Great video. There's a story they'll be telling everyone down at the pub.

Great video!

Likely little chance of them being scooped up. Would be neat to see exactly when the whales detected non target species in the school and adjusted their course. I find it interesting that the school fish used the divers as protection, knowing the whales would adjust course and not hit the center of the school. I suspect that scenario unfolds thousands of times each day for millenia.

Awe inspiring, mind boggling and so forth... The well rehearsed dance of life is.

Aha! I am beginning to detect a theme here ... does he play a wind instrument perhaps? There has to be a connection.

As many others have commented, there was no chance of being swallowed, about the largest thing these baleen whales can swallow is a 2 or 3 pound fish, perhaps a large mackerel or small bonito. Being crushed by an accidental tail stroke might have been possible. Have to think though that the whales were aware of the divers and knew right where they were, thus avoiding them. There does exist something that could swallow a man, and that is a sperm whale. These whales have huge teeth, and feed on giant squid and large fish, and are quite capable of gulping down a human. Might not be a good idea to go for a swim when there are sperm whales about.
