Yes I did read it. You should too. It also scored low in restaurants and people. People go to a Downtown to see people. Not to see empty sidewalks

- Fully-gridded, 400-blocks area
- Governmental functions (County Seat, City Hall, Superior courts)
- Religious worships (3 ornate churches and 1 Buddhist temple)
- 8 performing arts venues (Civic, CPA, Montgomery, City Lights, Rep, Stage, Le Petit Triannon, and California Theatre)
- 4 distinct entertainment zones (SoFA, San Pedro, Japantown, and the Clubbing/Lounge zone)
- More than 200 restaurants/lounges/bars
- A modern convention center and an Arena that boasts the 3rd-placed booking rate in North America.
- One of the largest libraries on the West Coast
- Location of both big-name companies (Adobe and Acer) and small startups (Pinger, Move, BlackArrow)
- All kinds of people live here from all kinds of demographics.

Whoa!!! If San Jose has a "bathroom-sized" downtown, then what does that make the downtowns of Mountain View and Palo Alto's with their 7-blocks worth of "main street" with cute boutique stores and restaurants, and 2 bars?

Peanut-size, I suppose? HAHHHAHAHA!!!! Yowwie...I shouldn't have even go there *cue KaBoom crying to Mommy*
And yet given the choice most people would rather go to Downtown Mountain View.

You have too many posts to be a troll, so I must assume other things.

AWww..granted, those kids in bike may not be "your kind of people". Does it slight your precious sensibilities that San Jose downtown is a living, breathing playground for these young folks, and not just a peanut-sized main street strung with boutique retails and restaurants catering to your kind *wink*?

Oh I'm so sooooo sorrrryyyyyyyyyy..... HAHHAHAHA!

Even when given the last word, you come up weak

Your cutesy main street is a tourist's joint. San Jose downtown is a living, breathing, actual downtown of workers, tourists, barhoppers, runners, bicyclists, politicians, AND residents.

Kabamboozled is still pissed that he forgot to validate his parking ticket during his secret, self-conscious jaunt to Downtown's San Pedro Square.

Reading these forums as of late feels like reading the arguments of 10 year olds...

I went to SJSU and have to agree, downtown SJ is nothing special. There are a few things to do, but it's usually not that packed during the day and not much better at night.

I must say I love Santana Row, though. It seems to get more attention than Downtown SJ.
