Up Hwy. 74 in the mountains above Palm Desert. So quiet and peaceful. I just commented to hubby the other day that it felt "spiritual" up there!

No, it was just really peaceful and tranquil and a place where you just felt like "wow - what a beautiful place God has made for us to enjoy."

Joshua Tree National Park is often visited as a spiritual retreat. Many musicians ( U2, Doors, Graham Parsons, etc.) traveled there for inspiration and to smoke some sort of juniper that grows wild there. The Mentalphysics Retreat Center in Joshua Tree has a pretty good following too.
