Nutty shooters get in their manic state and start amassing a pile of 'em in a short period, if they can. 'Tis a bit of a red flag; a portend of things to come.

Know were the red-headed loony got his money to buy his guns? From a government grant. He used some of his government college money to buy guns and ammo.

He wouldn't have if somebody didn't sell him the guns, no matter where the money came from (it's all green). Retailers have the right to refuse service.

So I have over 30 guns at this point, why should I have to wait 10 days when I purchase another gun?
Why can I not buy two handguns from a dealer in one month?
Why should my rights be restricted even though it does not reduce crime?
Why do you think I should be flagged?

Besides the fact that there appears to be an obsession at work here on building a stockpile of items whose purpose is to kill? End of Days, perhaps?

I don't recall that fact being one of the questions requiring an answer during the gun purchase process, nr do I think dealers have access to that info, nor should they. Besides, it makes a certain bloc of primarily anti-gun people feel good! Surely you don't want to deprive them of that wiggle-producing, spine-tingling feeling of superiority, do you?

Do you think a golfer is crazy for having more than one club? Of a women for more than one pair of shoes? A chef for more than one knife? Or are they also preparing for the end of days?

Maybe come up with a rational argument instead of the same tired platitudes over and over again.

This guy, as reported by witnesses in the Bass Pro Shops store where he was allowed to buy two more weapons to complete his arsenal in a matter of weeks, apparently looked every bit the psycho while doing so as he did in court: See, this dude, looking and acting bat**** crazy, shouldn't be walking away with a new Glock and shotgun. The public's right to prevent this, in the name of everybody's safety, usurps his right to arm himself to the teeth to carry out his deranged fantasies. CO = FAIL on this one.
He passed TWO background checks, blame the system. You really think his crazy would have gone away if he needed to wait 10 days? LOL You fail.

He apparently avoided any background checks by buying his ammunition online.

"In Colorado, and across much of the United States, the markets for ammunition — online and in storefronts — are largely unregulated..."

Also, different gun laws in CO than in CA.

"Holmes was carrying:
– An AR-15 assault rifle
– A Remington 12-gauge 870 shotgun
– Two 40-caliber Glock handguns

How was one man allowed to amass four high-powered weapons? But a look at the Colorado laws seems to indicate, at least on the surface, that Holmes was within the law in his gun possession, according to two statutes:
– The state of Colorado prohibits gun registration [CRS 29-11.7-102].
– Colorado allows a person to carry a firearm in a vehicle, either loaded or unloaded. Handguns (ones with barrels under 12 inches) are allowed in homes, businesses, or cars, as long as they’re not concealed[C.R.S. 18-12-105(2)]."

Poor analogy. Shoes and golf clubs and don't kill people.
