So now the esteemed governor has signed a bill that says any student can use a bathroom or play on a sports team that fits their gender identity.

California's Assembly Bill 1266 For Transgender Student Rights Signed By Governor Jerry Brown

What a crock. I don't care what you think your gender identity is, that's an imposition on all other students. You should have to use the correct bathroom instead of forcing all the other students to put up with your ideas.

And boys on a girls sports team??? Not much of an advantage there. This state has really gone down the drain.

Political Correctness run amok.

This reads like an article from the Onion.

This is state is pathetic as they come. Taking away the constitutional rights of law abiding gun owners every chance they get but the rights for gays and transgenders must be upheld! This state truly makes me sick, I cannot wait to leave.

Probably one of the most ignorant posts I've seen in a while.

Gee, sorry if I don't like others ideas forced on me and my family. I'm sure it would be ok with you if your children were made to sit in school while someone came in and proselytized.

To force other children to have to put up with boys in the girls restroom and girls in the boys to accommodate a few is unacceptable. They are boys or girls. That's it and they should use the proper restroom. And to have boys who think they are girls compete in girls sports give them an unfair advantage.

Gay marriage? Go ahead. It doesn't bother or affect me. But this nonsense has gone too far. Someone should sue for violation of the other students rights.

Yeah! Some aspects of them. Others, not so much or not at all. But I actually lived through them. I very much doubt that you did so your opinion of them, and those of us with some fond memories, is pure fluff.

I talked to my son about this--he said when he was 15 he would have told them anything to get into the girls bathroom or locker room.

This may be about gender identity. But I think it's going to end up being about hormones.
