When are you guys going to stand up and say you have had enough? I lived in SoCal part-time a few years ago and it reminded me of some places I have been to in South America....and not in a good way. As someone who grew up in Brazil, I can certainly say that parts of this country resemble a 3rd world country and the problem is just going to get worse.
Were trying. This state is Fuked. ROYALLY screwed. With Brown as the conductor and Boxer and Finestein feeding coal in the furnace what do you expect? Lol just sit back and enjoy the spectacular slow train crash that is California

To see a what was a GREAT, economically powerful state with a diverse geographical area, great weather, and not to mention what was the 7th largest economy in the WORLD get obliterated with a bloated government, gross spending and ridiculous entitlement programs ALL paid by the hard working taxpayers of the state. All the while our hypocritical elected leaders in Sacramento dream up more ways to squeeze more money or further suppress our rights. The reality shows should be following those people around. I bet they would get high ratings.

So yes keep on spending and making smoke and mirrors accounting.

You still did not explain your comment where you suggest it would be "enjoyable" to watch California fail. Why would it be "enjoyable"?

It's an expression, man. "Sit back and enjoy the show."
Is there no comment on C-D so minute and irrelevant that someone doesn't get emotionally confrontational about it???

I don't see anything "emotionally confrontational" about my question. The poster I asked has a history of inflammatory and deprecating posts in which s/he expresses delight at suffering. I have asked where is the pleasure in that. Real simple. Seems like maybe you're worked up yourself over something simple?

Cool story, bro.

Here's another, drawn from personal experience: I assume you are an electrical contractor. Next you show up at a sight and go off on an unsolicited political tangent, don't assume the silence you receive is agreement. They just want you to do the job and leave as soon as possible.

Here's a few current threads from the New Hampshire forum that could use a little of your righteous indignation:

New Hampshire Number 50 in Charity
New Hampshire - no state tax - what a laugh
News flash! There are lots of people in NH on welfare that are "better off" than you but don't actually "work"
Manchester NH a "city" of vacant shops, vacant stores, overpriced housing and run down infrastructure.

Nightlysparrow,
were you born on California soil? Why do you think people who no longer live in California have no interest in the state? I don't live in California but it will always be my home state ( I was born on California soil). When I land in San Jose and get off the plane , I can smell that I am home. I have great grandparents buried in California soil. My mother lives in state, I have a sister living in state, I have nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, in laws, brother and sister in laws, college and high school friends, former business partners who live in California. Why are you so sanctimonious about others who comment on issues of importance in California? Who cares if he/she lives in New Hampshire. Last time I checked New Hampshire was part of the United States, just like California. Get off your high horse and quit being defensive. California is and always will be a great state. As Americans we feel obligated to point out and discuss issues that are important to California and the U.S.A. After all, California comprises about 10-12% of America.

Exactly what did I say that was inflammatory? Or is it simply disagreeing with you that you find inflammatory? You have your opinions I have mine. Expresses delight at suffering? Deprecating? You got all that from a few posts?Don't try to psychoanalyze me. You have no idea what I went through or have seen in my life. And if you did you may be a little more cynical. You know absolutely nothing about me Mr. Psychology. Or did you expect me to give some politically correct answer that pretty much amounts to a bunch of hot air with no meaning at all but has the correct amount of whining and sniveling to make you happy?

Enjoyable in the sense of seeing a train running down a track with a dead end and the brakes out of order. Its a cynical enjoyable but you probably don't get it.
To watch all the butt puppets in Sacramento running around trying to explain why they have no money again and need to yet again raise taxes oh wait its fees these days ( much easier to pass without a majority vote) to cover their spending and the squandering the money all covered by bs excuses. You're telling me the boondoggle that is the high speed train in California is a good idea? We'll be paying for that forever not to mention it will be subsidized just like the regular rail is now. Yet they voted to go ahead and do it. Knowing it will do absolutely nothing more than have a expensive piece of crap novelty.
Look around you. Look at the bills and the props that have been passed. All designed to soak up as much taxes, excuse me I mean fees as they can to feed a bloated system. Not to mention all the entitlement programs we have being abused.

Nice condescending tone bro. I don't go off on political tangents at work. In fact I don't talk politics or religion at work. Work is work. But if I am ever asked I will give you my personal view of it weather you like it or not. I don't kowtow to anyone. Weather you politically or religiously agree with me or not I could care less. You asked I didn't volunteer. I don't live my life according to what you feel is right or what you want to hear.
