The one thing that bugged me about Thanksgiving and xmas in socal - it's always 80 degrees and sometimes Santa Ana winds. Not very holiday like. The vision of holidays (we get from the new yawk centric media) is of warm fires, hot toddies, sleighs, bringing home freshly cut xmas trees from the forest, etc. In SoCal, you roast in your kitchen from a hot oven on an 80 degree day.

This morning is was eight degrees F here on the Palmer Divide, CO.

THANKFULLY, it's not about weather but about the many blessings God has bestowed on us. No matter where you live, it's always the right time to be grateful for what you have. God bless you all and happy Thanksgiving!

I love the weather in Cal during the holidays. I even went to Hawaii a few times for Thanksgiving. I don't mind snow or cold for a day or two but I could never live in it full time.
You can keep the 8 degrees!!!! Enjoy!!

Yeah, I love my Thanksgiving backyard bar-b-qs. Our orange tree gets nice juicy oranges this time of year, and we pick them and make fresh juice. Ahhh, no place like CA. I could never live anywhere else!

Thanks for the wishes Roma ... Did you find a house on the lake yet?

Thanksgiving was a gorgeous day here, actually the whole week has been gorgeous - gotta love it!

I like the warm winters, I was out all day today putting up xmas lights and I was wearing shorts My kids and I enjoy going to the beach this time of year, low crowds, and still very nice weather! Water gets a little chilly, but I guess you can't have it all.

Hope you find your Westlake home soon

Hi,

We have to wait until our properties sell first in Texas before we can move. We have our 2 waterfront lots for sale now and when at least one of them sells then we will list our home. We need every "pretty penny" we can come up with to get back into Westlake on the lake!!! I can't wait!

We should have a Conejo Valley get together with all the City Data people living in the area? Maybe a girls luncheon at Jacks Deli or something? Dragonten can come done from where she is to join us too!!!!
