Fern Canyon - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Did you make it into Fern Canyon when you were in Prairie Creek? It's pretty cool, and some scenes from a Jurassic Park movie was filmed in there.

If you haven't been, he's a practical tip for you. Go to a Wallmart or something (I think there's one in Crescent City) and pick up some cheap knee high rubber boots cause it gets pretty wet on the trail.
We did that when we went hiking through there and were able to keep our feet wet and safe from slippery rocks. Everyone we saw were walking through there in soaking wet tennis shoes, hiking shoes or barefoot! Ouch! So many people were, "Oh I wish I had those!" when they saw us walking through with no problems through the wet trail!

These days, if there's water, I found sending a woman in there works pretty good too.

Also from Prairie Creek Redwoods State Park.
