My physician husband is considering taking a position in Napa Valley, CA. We are in our 50',s children out of house. I have been there enough to love the weather , but I am concern about making friends because it is so transient. It is a vacation destination, therefore can one really establish any roots there ? Does anyone know if there are any kind of developments one can live in where you can make friends. Where is the closest upscale mall. Are there country clubs there or is it just random places to live ? Any info would be greatly appreciated. It will be an across the nation move for us so I need to look at the full picture.
