Hi. I grew up in L.A. (Hawthorne) but left 20 years ago. I am moving back next month, and would like to live in a hip, lively, safe area. I've been hearing a lot about Silver Lake, and now Culver City as up and coming (it certainly wasn't when I lived there). I am a pro photographer and graphic designer, so I want to be close to people in the entertainment industry.

Ideally, for the first 6 months to a year, I'd like to find a space that can serve as my photo studio, and that I can live in until I get a little more established (I can shower at a local gym, if the space doesn't have a shower). (I did this when I first separated from my wife at my studio in NC.)

Any leads on such a place? Your tips and suggestions will be helpful.

My budget is about $1,500/mo for now.

Many thanks.

Don't think you'll find anything in that price range. How big does the space need to be?
