exactly. This is what some people don't understand. A natural disaster, or an earthquake can happen anywhere.

I hate hearing people that say they will never move to California because of earthquakes.

A FEMA map without California. Really? Do people actually believe that this is real? They have proven that they cannot predict earthquakes even within a few hours, I'm pretty positive that that map does not exist (except on the hard drive of an unstable conspiracy theorist type.)

Having said that, if anyone chooses to flee California before 2012 based on ridiculous stuff they read on the internet, can I have their house? Especially if it's on the beach.

Yep, you've pretty much described a city of the same size in any State. YOu might enjoy a more rural place.
