Report: Sen. Leland Yee arrested on bribery, corruption charges | News - KCRA Home

State Sen. Leland Yee has been arrested by FBI agents on bribery and corruption charges, NBC Bay Area is reporting.

A KCRA crew has confirmed that California Highway Patrol officers and the sergeant of arms are outside Yee's office at the state Capitol.

Yee, a Democrat, represents District 8 in the Bay Area.

He is a candidate for Secretary of State, according to his website.

A great justice was done for democracy today. This guy's nanny-state-liberal days of trying to ban video games, trample the 2nd amendment, and shop lifting tanning lotion are now over. I think I'm going to have a few beers this afternoon in celebration. **** yeah! A truly great day for the State of California.

According to ABC7, the senator was indicted this morning as the FBI conducted a slew of raids in San Francisco's Chinatown District, including the offices of Gee King Tong Free Masons.

Also arrested in the raids was Raymond "Shrimp Boy" Chow.

Meanwhile, KCRA in Sacramento confirmed that California Highway Patrol officers and the sergeant of arms are outside Yee's office at the state Capitol.

For those that don't know who Raymond Chow is, he was a "former" (many believe still is) triad leader in S.F who was responsible for numerous acts of gang violence in the 70s, 80s, and 90s.

It's unbelievable. Leland Yee in cahoots with a triad member, guys who traffic tens of millions of dollars of illegal arms into the U.S every year, and on the other hand, Yee has been chipping away at 2nd amendment rights for law abiding citizens in California for over a decade. You can't make this stuff up!

I was just about to post a similar thread. Taking a step back, do people realize how nuts this is. A political party has lost its super majority, because of corruption charges to 3 people. There has been an actual shift to the balance of power, because of corruption.

And there will be absolutely no consequences to this. The good voters of CA will continue to not do any diligence and prolong the one-party rule. I am not a Republican, but everyone has to agree that the one party results in lack of accountability, fraud and corruption.

For any thinking person, the dangers of this should be plain as day.

The funny part of this is that the very demographic that votes these guys into office are suffering the most. Do you see the middle-class blacks in the Bay Area enjoying a great standard of living? What about the lib-hipsters who are being chased out of SF into Oakland?
