Walk around oside and tell me if you think it is as bad as the real ghetto in nola.

Ghetto is dudes with gold fronts in their teeth, selling dope out of their whoopdie mobiles, in front of a liquor store all day.

Ghetto is where the whole neighborhood is out and about at midnight (on a monday), shuckin' and jivin'.

Oside? A bunch of vato wanna bes that would get treated in la, scaring elderly working class whites and military families.

Oside is amatuer hour. Only some one from a soft bay area suburb, who has never even walked around richmond would think oside is a ghetto. LoL!

How would you know? You're from the suburbs of Sacramento and the lily white suburb of Glen Ellyn, IL LOL. Let me guess, you know someone who lives in some hood on the Southside of Chicago? LOL.

Nobody said Oceanside overall was ghetto either and luckily Chilly Gentilly recognizes the term can subjective based on what surrounds it.

Uh im black and have family in real cities, unlike you. Nyc, chicago, and dc. And yes, i have been through some surley ghettos. Just picking up some one from cook county jail is more than enough of a reality check. Never mind actually wandering through one on accident as a young teen looking for bmx spots.

You are not black and from walnut creek, so of course ghetto is subjective to you. You probably think monument blvd in concord is ghetto. So how about letting people who can actually survive walking through a ghetto discuss the issue? Mmkay thnx 925er.

But you've never actually lived in a ghetto or a real city either? Oh but you're "black" and have picked up someone from Cook County jail! LMAO. Oh tell us more about your hard knock upbringing on the mean streets of Glen Ellyn! Lol. You sound like an episode of the Fresh Prince of Glen Ellyn or something lol.

Actually since you asked, yes I have lived in an urban ghetto. I lived south berkeley in college, which back then was still the ghetto black neighborhood of berkeley.

Uh poor black people interact with middle class blacks, just like middle class mexicans interact with mexicans from the barrio.

After all, we are the same folk separated by income. We eat at the same places, go to the same churches, and have the same ethnic history.

But being from the 925, you don't *get* that. No surprise there.

I can drive my family thru the ghetto to get soul food a few miles from my house in san leandro, and do so weekly.

You by contrast take the bart back to lilly concord creek after an A's game. Where as I can walk thru the adjacent neighborhood with no hastle.

That's the difference between me and you.

My wife grew up in carlsbad and even she laughs at the notion of oside being ghetto.

So save the real house wives act for a 925 suburban outskirt thread, and let people who know what ghettos look like discuss the issue.

Oh how sweet, you like to visit the ghetto on weekends for some grub from your comfortable little suburb on the hill. Good thing being from the mean streets of Glen Ellyn toughened you up. LOL.

The difference between you and me is I know where I grew up and don't try to act all hard like I'm from the inner city like you do. Always talking down on people from the suburbs even though that's exactly what you are, a lifelong suburbanite. Oh but you're 'black'...lol. I will gladly let people that know what ghetto's are discuss the subject, IMO that isn't you though. But keep pretending because it's pretty funny watching someone from the Sac suburbs and glen Ellyn try to be all Chicago Southside up on an internet forum LOLOLL.

Again, no one said Oceanside was ghetto, learn to read.

You don't know what a ghetto is, so again you have nothing to offer.

I don't recall mentioning the south side once. I've pretty much stated my case. I've been through real ghettos and have even lived in ghetto neighborhoods.

And I can read fine. Pretty sure you decribed oside as some what ghetto and tried to use that one gang injunction, on that one street, that one time, as evidence. Rofl.

Thanks for the real house wife perspective and reminding me how soft and and yupster most A's fans are tho.

Can we get back to the topic at hand? I am tired of all this ghetto talk and "I'm more hood than you" attitude!

Not to mention that comparing Richmond and describing it as "real hood" solely based on the fact that there are blacks there (and fewer blacks in Oside) seems offensive.
