My name is Tom

And I'm a security guard in Bloomington ca,
I've been at my current post for about a year but I've switched security companies and am still at the same site.

Anyway I was training a new hire and 2 weeks in , he asked me if I wanted to make some extra money I asked him how and he said he knew someone that would and could take loaded and unloaded trailers from the yard we worked on and would get cash in exchange, I felt that it was my duty to notify my employer and I did so, after notifying them I'm starting to regret it.

The same day I called my post commander to tell her about his plan... A trailer had already been missing. So they call me in the office once and interview me asking about the guy who said he would steal trailers trying to get as much info as possible. ...I gave them as much as I could and since I told on this guy I asked if I could be moved to another full time site and they said yes. 3 days later they had me come in and speak with this private investigator and drilled me for answers I didn't have in regards to the missing trailer. I called my employer and now they want to offer me 2 days a week from my normal 5 days a week. They also had a private investigator come in and interview me and take my picture and id, he also stated that I needed to take a lie detector test because they didn't believe me when I told them that I had no clue about the first trailer that was taken . I feel like I got the short end of the stick I went from full time to technically no time. Do I have grounds to sue?

I live in California and now I'm going back to unemployment. To this day they still haven't spoken with the individual about the 10 trailers he was going to take..... my job promised me another full time site and now I have nothing. What do I do?

Sounds like you may need professional legal advice, and this may not be the venue for providing that advice.

Was there a contract guaranteeing you a full-time assignment? If so, you can sue for breach of contract, at the least. But you do need to see a lawyer.

That would work.
Good luck!

California has what's called a Whistleblower law that protects you from retaliation for being a whistle blower.

https://www.dir.ca.gov/dlse/WhistleblowersNotice.pdf

If you just google "California whistle blower law" a bunch of law firms will pop up.

I would call a couple and see if they just charge on a contingency basis, where you are not out any money up front, and they only get a percentage of what they get for you.
