It is a BIG DEAL, a little boy was seriously injured by a falling bricks from a Chimney, significant head injuries being flown to hospital with neurology specialists.

Napa Valley

90+ people with light to moderate injuries.

People lost their homes to fires because of the earthquake.

Napa County Courthouse close permanatly.

I felt it in Sacramento when the dogs freaked out and started barking and running around the house for "no reason".

On a lighter note: All that amazing wine wasted, "oh the humanity" !.....but serioulsy, millions of dollars lost in wine.

Just for the record, the child is a girl, not a boy.

Actually, the quake was our way of welcoming the neighbor people who just moved in Saturday

No damage here, but it looks like Napa (town) and Sonoma (town) took the worst of it. If anything, it was a little exciting to be part of one that large. Entire house shook side to side (multiple feet) and sounded like living over a subway.
Sonoma was disappointingly devoid of noticeable damage. I was hoping to get some photos worthy of selling to the newspapers. No such luck.

But look at the reports of water and batteries getting bought up and nothing really bad happened. Just imagine what it would be like if it was larger.

The time to buy water/batteries/supplies is before the quake, not after it.
It's not all about you.

People were seriously injured including a young girl.

Had it struck at 3pm rather than 3am, there would have been more injuries and quite possibly fatalities.

Dude, it's called humor, as noted by the emoticon. If you lack a sense of humor, you can find a good deal on them at Walmart this week.

This is not the time to be humorous, if my home burned to the ground because of the earthquake I would not want people making "humorous" comments.

Or, if your child was in danger of dying or being disabled for life. Not humorous.

An older man described not being able to go back in his home to save his kitten because of the smoke as his home burned to the ground, not humorous.
