Not necessarily. The climate is extremely localized throughout SF, especially in the summertime.

SD had a pretty brutal heat wave earlier this month. It was very hot and humid down there. The Chargers vs Seahawks game demonstrated how hot SD can get with the field being 110F+, and the dew point in the high 60s. Those white uniforms helped out SD quite a bit I imagine.

Not sure what exactly your point is as heat waves can happen everywhere, including Sacramento where it regularly exceeds 100 degrees every summer.

California's climate and the people are the best things I found about California. Southern California climate is around San Diego near perfect year round cool and dry temps from 65-80 and no humidity. Only drawbacks to California are: real estate and cost of living and the over crowding in some areas.. and the job market but thats subjective. I work in Health care and I could move anywhere anytime and get a job even in California.. its up to me if I want to pay 4400 a month for a two bedroom condo thou. Cost of living in Southern California is quite ridiculous and a big drawback.

Im making the point that SD can be quite hot in the summer time, sure it regularly gets over 100 in sacramento, but it cools off at nite more often than not due to the delta breeze. SD stays warm during the nite during the summer time due to the warmer water temps, and the monsoon moisture that comes in the later summer months. But if your speaking in terms of averages, than SD's average temperature doesnt change much throughout the year.

If you're inland yes, if you're closer to the coast not really unless you consider 80's "quite hot". And inland cools off more at night than the coast and the low is only a few degrees warmer than Sac. Just saying it's pretty ridiculous to complain about the thought of living in a place because it's too hot and sunny when you live in a place even hotter and sunnier. That's like someone in Phoenix saying they couldn't live in Sacramento because it's too hot and sunny lol.

Yes for the job market it's subjective, actually there's no better place for tech jobs than California.

Upper 80s with dew points near 70F is pretty warm no matter how u cut it. When the low only drops to 75F at nite compared to say 60 in Sac, thats a whole lot more than "just a few degrees". Im not trying to knock SD, im saying it does get quite warm there, especially if ur a few miles inland.

That's fairly abnormal and doesn't even happen every summer though, unlike say the 100+ degree days Sac gets. And you're comparing an abnormally warm low temperature of 75 to an average one. If you want to compare averages, El Cajon (probably one of the hottest cities in the SD metro area) is more like 63/64 vs. 61 in Sac, like a said "just a few degrees". I know SD can get quite warm especially inland, but Sac is even warmer in summer.

Sacramento is unbearable in the summer. We've had threads here before, where people have insisted it never gets that warm, the breezes keep it cool, blah blah. No way, no how. And that's not even a "heat wave", those are just normal summer temps! I wouldn't want to be there for a bona fide heat wave. I wouldn't want to be there even for a normal summer!
