It doesnt because One, the unemployment is not that high anymore, and its even less in the capitol city Madrid. 2, everything is so cheap anyways it doesnt even matter. 3, I teach english as a native speaker So i always have employment and jobs. Plus i get paid well compared to the salary of your average Spainard . Life is pretty good out here

During the Great Depression, the U.S., at its worst, had 25% unemployment. Spain is at a 4-year low of just a tad over 21%. If Spain's following the U.S.'s current method of tallying these figures, the situation's even more (*&%ed than that 21%.
And yeah, the salaries are indeed way lower there than northern Europe or the U.S.
Maybe it's time for an official thread on the contrasting pros and cons of CA vs. Spain.
Both have their pluses, both some minuses.

I lived in Malaga Spain in 2010 and agree what Goonzy is saying. Spain is over-all cheaper than CA, people are social and the pretty ladies are more caring and open to men than in CA. I lived in Benalmadena for 11 months working as a teacher. I would go back if I had the opportunity. Madrid was nice but too big for my taste. I like small towns but Madrid was clean, people very sociable and great food. I'm a single man, 45 years of age. For your typical CA woman, Spain might be a step down because her beauty value would drop making her less valuable because Spain woman in general are thinner and a lot more open to all men for conversation, dates, etc. I think California women are the most difficult I have ever experienced in terms of personality and I've traveled extensively around Europe and Latin America.

Or maybe the women in CA are less appreciative of objectification?

I'm leaving cause SB 277 coupled QOL/COL woes (I can afford to live here, but I'd rather retire earlier than later--I can save more elsewhere due to cheaper housing).

I suspect I'm in the minority, I was kinda surprised I couldn't find single thread regarding SB 277.

Do it! Make the thread. It also should have alot of pictures to compare the natural and historical beauty Of both states. These two by far are my two favorite states in the world, Spain The Roman State and California the Golden State! It doesn't get better then that.

It's been discussed.

Both threads were locked due to the controversy.

I see, that's the Great Debate forum though. You would think someone would have chimed in here in the CA forum, however, searching SB 277 brings up zero results...maybe a few now its been mentioned in this thread. I guess I'm the first and only person to have an issue with this! That's sad in my opinion. Tis life.
