Which would be the best place to retire? Cameron Park or El Dorado Hills?

Either! Both are great.. I like Cameron Park because it's more established
with rural private homes but El Dorado Hills is beautiful.

According to Where to Retire Magazine, Cameron Park is the place to be. Although I think they were really talking about the whole El Dorado Hills, Cameron Park, Shingle Springs area. My grandparents live there. They used to be in a large-ish house by the lake and are now in a small place near the country club. Like lexi said, I don't think you could go wrong with either. Just make sure you plan ahead. Pick a house that won't require major modification for your future physical needs. One of the main reasons my grandparents moved was the had difficulty dealing with all the stairs in their old house.
