Yes David, Colorado is a beautiful state too. Our Country has lots of pretty places. There's something for everyone. When my husband and I were in our twentys, we bought an RV and travelled all around the US for two years. We met wonderful people and saw nice scenery everywhere we went (OK, maybe not in Barstow). There's lots of other places I could live and be content, but I like where I am for now. If I were wealthy, I'd live in the Morro Bay area, but I can drive there in a day and still keep my mules here.

Sure beats my "throw me into a hole in Eastern Washington" plan I have for myself.

A slightly better measure would be to look at internal migrations within the US. California has a much higher birth rate than most states. Are native Californians leaving and not being replaced by residents from elsewhere? That's what to look for. Some indication that that's exactly what's happening.

Good read by the way. Western states growing rapidly, with Texas and California seeing the largest numerical increases and with Nevada and Arizona seeing the highest percentage increases.
I wonder what parts of the population in California is adding the largest numbers to the increase in population. Any number crunchers out there that can give the increase by these categories?
American born citizens?
Naturalized citizens?
Illegal immigrants?
Native American?
By race:
White?
Black?
Hispanic?
Asian?
South Pacific?
Puerto Rico or other U.S. Territories? Then by economic class:
1%ersWealthy ($50 million net worth?
Upper middle class?
Middle class?Lower middle class?
Poor?
Dirt Poor?
Finally:Born in a two parent traditional family?
Born into a single parent family (no Baby's Daddy in the house)?

#1 - California born citizens
#2 - legal immigrants
You can look it up to verify. Easily found.

CA is bleeding away blacks if I'm not mistaken. Whites are probably flat, Hispanics and Asians increasing.

CA will still have the out-of-state dreamers, along with those who wouldn't touch it with a 10 ft pole. California is really maligned in much of Jesusland.

I am too occupied watching YouTube Andromeda right now to look anything up so thanks for doing some of the legwork for me.

Wonder if these folks out in Jesusland are aware of how many Jesus people reside in CA? Lots, actually.
