Way bigger than In N' Out. My biggest problem with In N' Out is that their fries are terrible. I would say McDonald's actually has the best fries of all the chains.

Have never come across a Fatburger yet.
I've had Fatburger in Vegas. It was pretty tasty....

We've had the best tasting hot dogs at Avi Casino, close to Laughlin..

Damn right! Keep that junk fast food to a minimum, then you can have a nice go at it in a most unhealthy, satisfying way. Kind of like drinking way too much, you just might allow a good amount of time to pass before the next go 'round. So if you have suffered the Weinerschnitzel, you surely must brave...

The Ultimate Cheeseburger (you know where). You won't even consider an Animal Style with well done fries for weeks after one of those tasty bricks. Got kale recipes?

I once inhaled a Der Weiner's Angus Beef chili dog and fries. It was sooooooo good and I could hear the hot dog snap and burst with juice when I bit into it.

In-n-Out is something you need to try a few times before you actually "get it." I grew up in a nor cal town that didn't have one. When I moved to So Cal and first had it I felt the same way as you, I didn't see what the big deal was. After a few times eating I was hooked and don't eat at Wendy's or Mcs anymore. The reason being is simple: Americans have eaten so much crap food we are accustomed to it and forgot what real food taste like and how good it is. It's like taking some redneck who has only eaten little Caesars pizza to a pizza place that makes authentic brick oven pizza with real and fresh ingredients. The redneck is going to say it taste terrible compared to little Caesars.

Same with In-n-Out. The ingredients are real and fresh. Other burger joints like Wendy's and Mcs taste chemically to me now. They doesn't even taste like real food, but like the stuff you get from 7-11 or a TV dinner. In-n-Out beef taste like beef and their fries are made from potatoes right there on the spot. And their toasty buns aren't even comparable to the dry, bland buns at those other fake burger places. It takes a while for your taste buds to re-adjust to real food.

The reason it taste "bland" is because it isn't meant to be a loaded steakhouse burger. It's a vintage (I mean actually vintage, the recipe and menu hasn't changed in many decades) style grab-n-go burger, which is a little lighter and good for a work lunch break, or a dinner on a Friday night before a movie, or late night after the bar. I love the ultra big and fatty and salty steakhouse burgers from places like Five Guys every once in a while too though.

I've had In-N-Out more times than I can recall. It's just OK. Shake Shack has the best burgers I've ever had.
