Not where I am, but I won't argue with you about out there. Some people believe there are no econ tools left to fight it.

If America has riots in good times, what will we do in bad times? Better get that Medi-Cal and voucher now.

The middle of the USA will be completely depopulated before any CA collapse.

The reason is simple their economy is vastly diversified and the companies based (many world-leading) are not going anywhere. We should all be so lucky to live and work there (and of course have a publicly-funded pension).

Lavish? Sounds like you have a case of the sour grapes! No one stopped ANYONE from getting the same pension, we all make choices in life.

I was a machinist, a tax provider, not a tax taker.

I think most public employees pay taxes too, and as far as you not being a 'tax taker' - of course you are, if you drive on a public street, go to a public library, utilize police or fire services you are utilizing services that other taxpayer are contributing to

Yeah, but not for centuries. Yet. It could still happen

That's just silly, your hate of public employees is really just about your pension envy, but here's a hint. Even though you are older, you might be able to get a Caltrans job, in 5 years you would be vested for retirement, if you could work 10 years you could retire as early as 62 years old with a pension of about 20% of your salary
