I have an opportunity to transfer through my job to basically anywhere I want and I am thinking about coming back to California, I have never been in Visalia or heard much about it just curious if anyone would have any helpful information they would like to share. Thank you in advance.

Well I live just south of there in Tulare, but obviously travel to Visalia regularly. What specifically would you like to know? It's your typical mid sized city: it has its good areas, bad areas, entertainment, dining, and shopping options just like any other town.

I grew up in Visalia... and in the 70s and 80s, it was a great place. I wouldn't recommend it now.

What are you looking for and what are the other options? Like Des wrote, we need specifics.

Haven't been to Tulare since a friends wedding in the early 70's

It is (was?) on of the nicer towns in the S. San Joaquin Valley. Nice civic spirit.
