I have friends who are Asians in OC. They are a lot of fun. Outside of San Francisco, So Cal takes it in style, food (Korean! Thai! Japanese!).

Verdict: They can keep their hella chill wanna be urban style up there.

Yeah, that's all we need is more stereotypes. Excellent substitute for thinking.

Of course the Hmong, Lao, Mien and Cambodians in the Central Valley don't exist in the equation.

It is just entertainment and all in good fun. Is it necessary to take it that seriously?

NorCal Asians are a lot more violent! Compare the Asians from Stockton, Sacramento, or Fresno to LA or SD and you'll see.

There's really only one difference to me.

Born here or not born here.

All we can go off is demographic statistics. Different Asian groups in Nor Cal than So Cal. So different food by area. As for music and the other stuff, just seems like typical Nor Cal and So Cal differences, not exclusive to the Asian culture.

I will also add that Nor Cal has a boba chain called Quickly. There are a few in So Cal, but not nearly as many in the Bay Area. Not sure if So Cal has anything comparable to Quickly. San Francisco has the biggest Chinatown and Japantown in California, so I will give Nor Cal that.
