Looks like a garage with an attached house.

I could definately use a four car garage though:
2 or 3 for cars
1 for workshop
1 or 2 for storage and Studio lol
So a 4 car garage is useful and makes sense, but the addition of space for 2 more cars makes it psychotic conspicuous consumption? Judgmental much?

Wondering why they need the garages when they've got all that lawn out front.

If they're like 90% of Southern Californians I know, garages are 25% car parking and 75% personal **** storage.

I'd like to have a pup tent with a 50 car garage attached, but I'd also like it surrounded by a moat with about 500 deadly snakes swimming around.

From what I've seen, that's gone nationwide.

I can only assume that is a custom home. If I were having a house with a 6 (or even a 3) car garage built, the last place I would put it is right out front!

I like it. The homes in my neighborhood all have 3 car garages with the majority having a 2 car door and next to it a single car door. A few have 3 single car garage doors. One family added a 4th garage on to their home. It has a single next to a double on one side of the home. On the other side of the home they added on another single car garage with a seperate driveway. In that garage they keep a beautifull Corvette. I love that home.

For the most part, homes that I have seen with more than a 3 car garage, the homes had a single 2 car opening with parking within the garage for multiple cars. Generally this is in a seperate building not attatched to the home. Older homes or estates would call this a carriage house and on top of the garage area may be a guest home or home for the staff. (Back in the day people had carriages instead of cars.)

One home that I visited in Santa Barbara has 4 built in car lifts. You park the car on the lift, raise it and store another car under the first. I can guarentee that they only keep cars in that garage. I would have been happy having any one of the cars stored there.

The only thing that I can say is if you can afford it why not?
