No one is stopping you from eating meat.

Plus the cost of the water the beef used is built into the price of the beef.

I am just wondering, do you try and control every facet of other people's lives?

Where do you get off with this kind of nonsense? Do you understand the process of critical thinking whatsoever? I am saying, if you are going to limit water consumption, then account for other sources as well. It doesn't make any difference whether I use my water in the form of a shower, watering a garden or in a burger, it is still water being used. Infact, water used in meat production outweighs water use in households. So why don't we limit meat instead of household water use? It is BS.

The average person in CA uses 170 gallons a day in household uses. The average burger takes 700 gallons to make.

And the price of the water is in the cost of the beef.

If water becomes more rare the cost of the products that use more water goes up. The free market will correct the problem.

It's not about the cost. The cost doesn't matter. It is about water usage. If I use more than my allowed amount of water I get fined, but you don't get fined for eating meat, even thought it is a much bigger problem.

So because you get fined, you want to fine others? Why not argue for removing fines against homeowners?

Anyways, most cow feed comes from out of state.

It is fair because it is your choice.

How much water did those veggies take to grow?

The problem is restrictions instead of solving the problem. The Gov't loves taxes, fees, fines and any other source of revenue. Try building more reservoirs, desal, recycling among other things and .... have more than enough water for everyone.

What do you think alfalfa is? We need more fines because we are in a serious drought. Meat should be heavily taxed to compensate.

WAY less than it takes to make meat.

Okay, how do we solve the problem then?

I bet you never found a tax that wasn't worth passing on another person.

So you are going to make gross political judgements of me without knowing my beliefs at all? I don't believe in a general sales tax, only on specific items. How is that for an example? I certainly don't believe in a special firearms or ammo tax, we probably have that in common based on your username.
