Nice! Did you invent that, or are you quoting someone else?

However, on this, if you look at the politicians whose comments include the suggestion of real violence, they seem to almost invariably be Republicans/Conservatives - like the "lock and load"

I think he's counting tree hugging as a violent act on foliage. LOL

That and all the open carry bubbas walking into Chilis with their assault rifles are liberals. Didn't you know that?

Please read the short letter here: https://web.archive.org/web/20131230...sical-society/

Harold Lewis, famously resigned from the formerly prestigious American Physical Society stating his objection that scientists, instead of seeking Truth, were instead seeking Grants. If you're a scientist studying climate change and you find results (actual, you know, data) that is not consistent with the progressive orthodoxy, you are blacklisted from receiving further grants. Professors know which side of their bread is buttered. In defense of their tenure & their paycheck, they conveniently find results in support of that progressive orthodoxy.

Global warming may indeed be real, and may indeed be man-made; I'm in no position to judge. But, it is clear that academic researchers learn how to secure grants for research. They respond to the incentive structure.

Oh -- who was Harold Lewis? Professor Lewis, who passed away less than a year after resigning in the public letter in the hyperlink above, was Emeritus Professor of Physics, University of California, Santa Barbara, former Chairman; Former member Defense Science Board, chmn of Technology panel; Chairman DSB study on Nuclear Winter; Former member Advisory Committee on Reactor Safeguards; Former member, President’s Nuclear Safety Oversight Committee; Chairman APS study on Nuclear Reactor Safety Chairman Risk Assessment Review Group; Co-founder and former Chairman of JASON; Former member USAF Scientific Advisory Board
