Would someone with knowledge of the area please answer the following?

Which has better healthcare? Top level trauma centers and high quality hospitals?

Which has a more educated population, overall, not just in pockets?

Which has less crime, especially home invasion crime, gang violence, etc.?

San Diego got this one over OC: SD actually has a downtown, better neighborhoods and better beaches.

PM me. I have lived in both and own in both and can tell you anything you need to know. I prefer south OC over San Diego.

But in all honesty if you can make it in either, you are lucky.
I prefer San Diego's beaches. And the military presence in San Diego is great. In OC, y'all have "Housewives" and that sort....

OC's beaches are nicer and I know both. As for having a military presence, I am perfectly fine not having one here. The military presence ruined areas like Oceanside. Now it is really funny judging OC by a television series. Actually, OC has now and has had many television series and they are certainly not all about housewives. I will bet you have not spent time here.

I spent plenty of time. It was pretty but not as exciting as SD. And I wouldn't say having a military presence ruined Oceanside---drugs did that, and military members are drug tested, so can't blame them for that.

I also know both, and prefer San Diego's beaches. OC has some nice ones, though.

OC is all the worst aspects of SoCal concentrated in one place.

No doubt that explains OC's position as the most expensive SoCal county (by far), right?
