I would appreciate advice on internet providers and television providers in Chico. How is Comcast and how are the satellite companies?

In my area comcast provides the best quality of Internet service. The satellite guys have crap for Internet speed. We are not into TV much. Cord cutters, so my focus is on Internet quality. I do know that Comcast offers deals on packages. I found one and asked nicely. Basic TV and 25 megs for $50 a month. Customer service is acceptable. Do online research for deals. Ask nicely. That's what I did. Saved $25 a month.

You can never go wrong with DirecTV IMO. Now that they are merging with AT&T, I'll be interested to see how their internet service does. Been using Time Warner internet for years, they have the fastest and most reliable service around here.

I've been a DirecTV customer for over 15 years. They are, without a doubt, the BEST utility company I do business with. Great service, competitive prices, great quality.

At the same time, AT&T (my internet provider) is the WORST utility company I deal with, and they just bought DirecTV.

Moral of the story: It probably doesn't matter who you go with. Ultimately, the company you hate will eat the company you love and digest it out as poo.
