Leave your misinformed label calling out of this.

Not favoring the 3rd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals ruling has nothing to do with your misinformed label calling.

This ruling was all based on a screw-up in arresting and detaining Ernesto Galarza.

Protecting people who are in the US illegally needs to stop on all levels of government.

I would have used other descriptors but the TOS prevents it.

Very glad to see the ICE doing their job in spite of the poor ruling by the 3rd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals based on a detainer screw-up in Allentown.

Somehow that is a worse attitude than treating people like they are subhuman and worthless based on legal status. Go on being 'curmudgeonly.'

Neither are appropriate. As for being 'curmudgeonly,' yes I will, thank you.

They were not doing their job "in spite" of the ruling. The ruling had no impact on what they were doing.

Keep on rolling those eyes it only makes you look silly and uninformed.

In the past it was easier for ICE agents to locate and deport immigrants who had been convicted of crimes. The agency would contact local jails and ask that such inmates be held until an ICE van could pick them up.

But last year a federal judge found that practice illegal, prompting hundreds of counties to stop honoring the detainer requests. As a result, ICE officials say they have to rely on costly and dangerous manhunts or multi-day sweeps like the one conducted last week.

The 244 arrests were not dependent upon local ICE holds. If you read the article and read the court decision and realize that the arrests were NOT impacted by the decision. I'm simply stating a fact, sorry it doesn't fit the narrative you invented.

WOW you really have no idea what you are accusing me of.

No duh that the 244 arrests were not dependent upon local ICE holds. That was the point of my post. My turn...

Glad to see them still doing their job in spite of this:
