My point is that there are always extremes.
I'll take a hot dry heat and 115 temps over 90 and humid in the Midwest any day and certainly over the nasty winter snow and ice. I would take the hot desert/valley summer over the Midwest/Chicago/NYC Hot Humid Summer/Crappy winter seasons.
