I would of never thought the high desert was already getting developed in the 1980's and being promoted as a nice opportunity for cheap, estate so soon.

Oh yeah.

Probably going back even further. You can easily look up that information. Real estate speculation, has cut up the land in the Antelope valley for quite a while. There are tons of dirts roads that were built that go nowhere that were built by real estate speculation. Although I imagine it probably was only in the 80s that the demand was strong enough, for mass devlopment.

Nice enough quiet town in the 80's, maybe. But Victorville, Palmdale, and Lancaster have become more ghetto in the last 30 odd years.

Quartz Hill or Apple Valley is the way to go for that whole scene.
