As for the rest of your salesman drivel, you've been yammering the same lines here for years while California's wheels continue to drive the nation. Tend to your sheep, man. Enjoy the Big Sky. It's a pretty state up there. Pretty cold, pretty barren, pretty poor economically, pretty void of cultural venues. There's a reason it has 1/38th the population of California despite being nearly the same size geographically.
On behalf of a beleaguered/lazy majority, we commend you for your service. Kill some pissants for California.

I have heard californians are flocking to montana now and driving up real estate costs. I was considering retiring there until I saw the massive price run up on single family homes in Boseman.

Then those proud Big Sky folks ought not sell the virtues of the place to those pesky annoying Californians. They WILL buy the whole place and turn it into a mixed-use development along with miles upon miles of Legolands, ya know. How many Starbuck's would you guys like?

It's like the median constantly wants us to think that things are going really bad in California, like always.

But no, this is the last 2 years:

New Jobs Created, October 2013-October 2015
California +935,800
Texas +569,900

California Economy at a Glance
Texas Economy at a Glance

We've been killing it Golden State people-both the LA Area and SF Bay Area are on top, along with NY, lead as the 3 biggest job creating metro areas in the country.

So just in case you werent aware, now consider yourself aware.

California's economic outlook and job growth is doing very, very well.
could it have something to do with the population of the two states, which is the indicator as much as the actual job growth and one needs to look at the overall unemployment rate as well.

Yes. At the present rate of blinding acceleration, Montana should have 1/37th the population that California has within the next 50 years. They're on their way to Big Things in Big Sky country!

...and the other half is peopled (or is that "polluted?") by Californians working diligently to turn it in to California North and California Light.

You should have a heyday there railing against their politics and population.

Oregon is very nice. Nice and liberal. Go there and kvetch.

By the way, did you know that California has more than double the amount of public recreational land that Oregon has? But don't let that stop you from leaving.

I know, I hear you, my buddies brother lives there and said the proliferation of califonians into Bozeman is terrible. They are likely finding desperate sellers to wiggle their way in like they did in Colorado, now Colorado is a cesspool.
