What is this place like? I know nothing-it seems to have a desert climate and is about 1 1/2 hours from LA but closer to San Diego.

Is it a good place for agriculture - olives nuts?

You might get better info from the San Diego sub-forum.

I've been to Warner Springs a few times and I think it might be too hot for many types of agriculture. It is near some tribal reservations and on the west side of the mountains that separate the desert from the rest of the county. It is also along the Pacific Coast Trail.

I think it is relatively affordable and not unbearably hot most of the year. Some people commute east from Warner Springs, but it would be a long drive.
